Welcome the return of the light

I love the Winter Solstice, Christmas, and New Year!

To me, this is a time filled with hope, love, miracles, and grace – and it feels as if my heart and mind are more open to new insights, visions, and dreams.

“Solstice” means “the sun stands still” – and the Norse and Celtic people believed that the mystical wheel of the year stopped turning just before the solstice, as if the Earth Goddess herself held her breath, in preparation to move through her own rebirth with the return of the light.

This brief moment of pause – when a silent darkness envelops the world, and the midnight sky is filled with twinkling little stars shining their magical light – is the perfect time to journey within, to retreat from the outside world, and tune into what our hearts and souls want to bring forth in the coming year.

The magic of the

winter solstice

In this video I share how our Christmas celebrations have Pagan roots, such as Santa, his flying reindeers, our traditions of the Christmas wreath and placing little gifts underneath the tree. Plus why we celebrate the Sun Goddess so much in the Norse tradition, and why Ragnarök is not the end of the world, but the Great Awakening (and you may find some of this quite surprising). I also explore the connection between Mother Mary and the birth of Jesus, with Isis and the birth of her son Horus.
